Background

My interest in astronomy started as a child, but went dormant until about 10 years ago.  A visit to my son's school with my childhood telescope rekindled my interest and proved to be a life-changing event.

After several years of effort (including re-learning all the math and physics I had forgotten), I completed my Masters in Astronomy in June, 2008.  I am currently an Astronomy adjunct instructor at Harper College in Palatine, IL.  My interest is in stellar dynamics and the weird stuff that happens when a star dies.  For me learning is great fun, and astronomy offers so much to learn!
